Introduction – 1st Assignment

Hello fellow classmates! My name is Megan. I am a member of the USAF, attending UAF because I grew up in Alaska. My mom also works at UAF so it’s easier to go here until I finish my AA, then I will transfer to a school closer to where I am stationed. I am taking this class because it’s a requirement, but I am excited about it because it’s being taught in a way I’ve never had before. It will be interesting! My long term goal is to be a lawyer, however I’m not sure my career will permit it easily, so being a paralegal might have to do.

In honor of today being the first game of the football season, the image of my choosing is the Patriots logo. Go Pats! (Even though they aren’t playing).

I wouldn’t consider myself to have a close relationship with art, but I do enjoy it. I always look for interesting and unique paintings to hang up in my apartment. I’m most infatuated with music and literature. I sang in choir growing up, and played violin. I’ve touched the guitar, cello, and bass as well, but it never stuck. Photography seems to be my favorite of the art forms. I’m hoping this class will introduce me to a type of art I haven’t experienced before and broaden horizons a little bit.

The link of my choosing is to because it’s where I like to look for paintings and pictures, and it relates to art.

I am looking forward to this class and hearing everybody’s thoughts about art!

  1. Football season is here. I’m too tired to actually watch a Sunday game after my long trail runs on Sunday. I am usually found asleep on the couch.

  2. Hi Megan,
I would like to thank you for your service to our country! It is nice to meet you and I look forward to this class and our experiences in it.

  3. Hi Megan, so I seen where you stated that you plan to transfer to a school that is close to where you are stationed,so what branch of the military are you in? How long have you been in? I think that it is awesome that you are serving in the military, I can not say that it would be an easy thing for me to do because I hate people telling me what to do and when to do all the time.

Good luck on your education/ career goals, wish you the best :), look forward to reading more of your blog post.
